Crazy Cronies

From thesundaily

Mohd Nazifuddin Najib, the 28-year-old son of Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Abdul Razak, has resigned from his post as a director at designated counter Harvest Court Industries Bhd, barely a month after he joined the company’s boardroom on Oct 28.

Harvest Court, in a filing to Bursa Malaysia yesterday, did not give a reason for his resignation.

Nazifuddin owns 3.982 million shares in Harvest Court, which was last traded at RM1.40 yesterday.

He is chairman of Sagajuta (Sabah) Sdn Bhd, the Sabah-based property developer that in recent weeks had awarded construction and building material supply contracts to doormaker Harvest Court.

Harvest Court was declared a designated counter by the exchange last Monday due to “excessive speculation observed” in the counter. This means investors are now required to pay upfront to purchase the stock.

The counter rebounded last Friday after sliding for the two previous days. Harvest Court’s share has surged to record high in the past month.
