Law lecturer of International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM), Assoc. Dr. Abdul Aziz Bari as a lecturer advised to resign if you really want to talk on the political stage and not have to wait for action from the university.
Higher Education Minister Datuk Seri Mohamed Khaled Nordin said the university is an institution that emphasizes academic achievement and should be in neutral in order to achieve educational success.
"I advise Abdul Aziz Bari ceased to be a lecturer if you wish to choose the political stage. If you are participating in political talks libelous, does not have to wait for action from the UIA.
"We encourage him to stop and join the party supported," he told reporters
Mohamed Khaled, who is also Member of Parliament for Pasir Gudang, said he is aware Abdul Aziz entered the area and delivered a speech at the Saujana Park near here last night but is confident people will not be enticed with the matter presented.
He added that among those present were Umno members themselves Pasir Gudang want to hear the professor's argument is now under investigation IIUM following statement in relation to dispute the word of the Sultan of Selangor Selangor Islamic Religious Department inspection (JAIS) on a church in Petaling Jaya recently.
